Tabi Stickers ("we," "us," "the app") is a language-learning app that turns photos of real objects into vocabulary stickers. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (handled by our backend provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password ourselves).
Photos. When you take or choose a photo to turn into a sticker, that image is uploaded and processed to create your sticker. Photos you capture are stored so your sticker collection persists across sessions.
Voice recordings. If you choose to record yourself practicing a word's pronunciation, that audio is captured via your device's microphone. This only happens when you actively start a recording — the app does not record in the background.
Location (optional). If you choose to tag a sticker with where you made it, we store that location alongside the sticker. This is entirely optional and off by default — the app never accesses your location unless you tap to add it to a specific sticker.
Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token (issued by Apple/Google via Expo's push service) so we can deliver challenge and friend-activity notifications to you.
Friends & social data. If you use the friends/challenge features, we store the connections you create (friend requests, challenge results) so those features work.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos, recordings, or location data for advertising.
We share data with the following processors, only as needed to operate the app:

Each provider only receives the minimum data needed to perform its specific function, and is contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.
Tabi Stickers has social features. Adding someone as a friend lets you send each other challenges, but does not give them access to your collection — your notes, voice recordings, memory photos and location tags stay private to you.
Sending a challenge shares a snapshot of that sticker's word, translation, reading, sentence and image with the specific friend you send it to. This is the only way your sticker content becomes visible to another user.
Blocking and reporting. You can block another user or report content you believe breaks our rules. A report stores the reason you chose, any note you write, and a copy of the reported content (including the other user's image) so we can review it. Blocking is private — the other person is not told — and you can review or undo it under Settings → Safety.
Your data is stored for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile, stickers, photos, and account data from our systems.
Tabi Stickers is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections and per-user access controls, so that — outside of the friend-sharing described above — only you can access your own data.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
